The Sunsets

The Experience: As evening falls, the terrace becomes your sanctuary. Pour local wine, fire up the brick barbecue, and watch daylight transform into the perfect Tuscan twilight. No two sunsets are ever the same—each season, each evening writes its own story across the sky.

I Pini—"The Pines"—started as Peter and Camilla's countryside escape and has become a sanctuary we love sharing with travelers seeking the real Tuscany.
Nestled in the medieval village of Monterotondo Marittimo, surrounded by chestnut forests at 550 meters above sea level, our home captures everything we adore about this region: timeless stone walls, breathtaking landscapes, and the unhurried rhythm of Italian country life.
We've preserved the original character while creating two independent spaces—perfect whether you're traveling with family, friends, or as a couple. From the open fireplace to the west-facing terrace, every detail invites you to slow down and savor la dolce vita.
